Chriss is a senior at Yale University majoring in Ethics, Politics & Economics and pursuing a Certificate in Global Health Studies. Chriss is interested in education as a tool for generational empowerment, both for individuals and their communities. As such, he has taught for multiple education intervention programs including Isomo Academy, Yale Young African Scholars, Magnify, and others. His teaching focus was on English as a second language, standardized testing, and college readiness.
Now, he serves as the Director of Education for Born2Serve (B2S). In his current role, Chriss spearheads Umuzi Initiative, B2S’s education department, providing financial support for high-achieving, low-income students to finish high school and helping them find post-graduation professional development opportunities. Altogether, Chriss aims to support the students as they pursue the dreams they have for themselves and their communities.
